The Magnificent 7: Best Damn Dog Blogs Around. Period!!!

I am writing this post for purely selfish reasons; it gives me an easy bookmark for dog blogs that I visit often anyways.

These are in no particular order and I consider them must-reads for the sheer amount of great information shared by the authors.

If I’ve overlooked your favorite dog blog, let me know in the comments section. I’d love to check it out and include it in the next iteration of this post.

So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you

Blogger: Jana Rade

Website: Dawg Business

Media_http3bpblogspot_zehza

Description:
In addition to some great dog training treats, focus here is on health and well being of your pet. What I really like about it is that Jana’s focus is so wide. It really keeps things interesting. She will go from Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Avocado/Soybean Unsaponifiables (ASU) For Dogs with RA to your standard fair of dog training and socialization tips to eastern medicine and many other fascinatingly and diverse topics.

Great website. Blogging component keeps me coming back but there is plenty of other great stuff as well.

Many bloggers, a lot of variety and some of the biggest names in the dog training business conspire to teach us how to understand our dogs little bit better on daily basis. Thank you guys.

This blog is drenched with fun and cuteness. It’s also bathing in significance. Shauna is the brains behind R.O.A.R. Squad:  Rescue Owners Are Rockin’. Goal of which is to promote the coolness factor of inviting rescue animals into your home. Those who choose to take part will be featured in all their glory on Shauna’s blog. Go Shauna.

Description:
When someone does something they love, it shines through everything they do. Eric is a fellow Engineer by trade but his passion is dogs. Software code doesn’t lick your face in the morning nor does it greet you when you come home; so I can relate. What I like most about Eric is that he is a consummate professional. His blog is superb and his take on various topics is fresh and innovating; or at the very least provocative. And that’s plenty for me to keep coming back for more.

JT is the embodiment of the dog owner I would like to be with if I were a dog. I think we would have a ton of fun running our 5k marathons. Also, JT is a fellow proponent of barefoot running. If you just read that I thought to yourself “wtf???” You need to read this post.

Blogger: Mary E Haight
Website: Dancing Dog Blog

Description:
If you are a fan of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart you are no doubt familiar with the segment called Back in Black. Wherein the perennial resident curmudgeon, Lewis Black recaps the weekly highlights, in case you missed it. Well. Mary does the same thing for dog owners minus one curmudgeon. Always an interesting read, always filled with useful info.

Bonus: Mary is really on top of dog food recalls. A unique focus and specialization on something that is seldom represented in the dog blog world.

Edie is the author of Am I Boring My Dog: And 99 Other Things Every Dog Wishes You Knew  (affiliate link).
On her blog, and in her writing in general, she has an uncanny ability to turn the mundane into witty, routine into funny and tedious into fascinating. She is a bonafide writer and an editor, and I really don’t appreciate her making the rest of us look bad :-)
